HER Studio is the gathering of workings from artist Jenny Vorwaller in her Seattle workshop. When brainstorming a name to work under, Jenny felt moved to give a nod to all her predecessors, especially the women who helped pave the way for her...
"At different points upon the path to finding my voice, I have been buoyed up by other women whose strength were arresting to me, especially at times when I felt that becoming an artist was only a pipe dream or a constant struggle. Now I want to give back. To those mentors past living, to my art professors and teachers who were a part of my life outside classroom walls. To those who told me to keep going, to those who allowed me to become more of myself by their uniqueness. I still hear these voices as I start a new painting. Their advice and charisma is the fuel I run on when living the artist's way, a way that could be lonely, but is anything but. I want to give a nod to women like Georgia O'keefe for her fearless nature. To Minerva Teichert for painting the story of her religion. To Fanny, my once elderly Greek neighbor who showed me the colors in her garden. To Barbara Crawford, for walking me through my first trip to Italy. To my mom, to my sister. The list is long, and precious. As I walk into my studio, I feel surrounded and overwhelmed with the companionship that comes from having all these women in my life. To have once come in contact with so many great ones through direct friendships and guidance and also through those who seemed as close to me as ever just through powerful writings and paintings that spoke to me.
So to all of you, HER studio is a place where you are, and where I can now be, because of you.

Within the United States all orders are shipped via USPS with Delivery Confirmation. Just to know that it arrived safe and sound! I want to be sure you received your little pieces of lovely AOK.
PHOTOGRAPHIC PRINTS ~ All prints are created upon ordering, because HER studio uses a professional printer! You won't have to worry about one or two more days waiting, because the quality is so worth waiting for. Prints are shipped in flat protective packaging and sent with care.
HER studio prides itself in making something special to bring up your spirits when it comes into your possession, to cause a stirring or a smile when you pass by it in your home. I want to bring something into your world just for you to cherish.
If for any reason you didn't find your transaction satisfactory, please send me a note within 10 days of purchase and we will work out a refund/return/exchange... though just between me and you? That hasn't happened yet, wink. (Just in case it ever does though, knock on wood, you will be responsible for returning items in their original condition, as well as return shipping costs. Ok, now that we have said the not so pretty but necessary, let's move on...)
Want to send something as a gift? I love sending and receiving mail, in fact, it's one of my favorite things! Let me know before you purchase and I can wrap up that package for you for just a little extra shipping cost. I've been told I'm good with presentation, pretty ribbons and tissue. Sometimes I recycle interesting papers and bits and bobs for that little punch.
